A buzzworthy sweater
“Who are you wearing?” is an old red carpet cliché. This year, Hollywood’s leading ladies used the Golden Globes as a chance to bring attention to gender issues. ONE supporter Connie Britton took it one step further: Instead of an awards show gown, she wore a sweater with the words of ONE’s flagship campaign “Poverty Is Sexist” across the front. Wearing this sweater at the Golden Globes generated a lot of attention and we are praising Connie Britton for having the courage to remind the world how much women around the world are disproportionately affected by poverty. Have any questions about why “Poverty is Sexist”? Check out this super useful #ONECampus blog to answer all your questions.
In early January President Trump chose to describe Haiti and African countries as “sh**hole countries”. ONE and ONE Campus refused to stand by quietly as such offensive and inaccurate claims were made. ONE published a blog highlighting 10 words that better fit the description of Africa while ONE Campus took to Twitter to tell President Trump how this organization and its members really feel about African countries. Needless to say, the tweets did NOT disappoint. Check out the amazing responses below:

Tweet action at USAID Administrator Mark Green
In preparation for the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Financing Conference in Senegal, ONE Campus members took to social media and the phones to remind Congress and USAID Administrator Mark Green to support a bold pledge at the GPE Conference in February. #ONECampus came out strong to make sure our message was heard:
