Get to know ONE Campus’ newest Campus Manager, Kim!
ONE Campus is thrilled to introduce the newest member of the team, Kim! Based in Washington, D.C., Kim will be supporting campus chapters in Arkansas, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.
Kim was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and was raised in Hamilton, Montana. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and minors in Spanish and Women’s Studies from the University of Montana. At UM, she was a fellow for the Franke Global Leadership Initiative, which gave her the opportunity to study abroad in Granada, Spain. In 2016, her passion for advocacy paired with her attendance at the ONE Power Summit motivated her to start the first ONE chapter in Montana.
Kim’s dedication to serving others led her to join the AmeriCorps Public Allies program after graduation. She was placed at Project Create, a local Washington arts education non-profit, where she served as a Program Coordinator for a year. Her AmeriCorps year gave her experience in both being a mentor and in building community.
Thinking back on her experience with ONE, Kim said, “I had such a positive experience as a Campus Leader and I built lasting relationships through it.” Now that she’s returning to ONE as a Campus Manager, Kim hopes to be a mentor figure for chapter leaders.
There are an endless number of ways that ONE members can engage with their campuses and Kim is looking forward to seeing how students will bring creativity to their chapters. “Every chapter is unique and I’m excited to support students as they work towards their goals” she says.
