We’ve got lots to be thankful for this year. But you know one of the things that tops our list? How committed the US has been to the fight against HIV/AIDS. So as President Obama decides over the next few weeks what to prioritize in next year’s budget, let’s make sure the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria continues to get his full support. Fill in your info below, hit send – and that’s it!
Dear President Obama,
Because of the U.S.’s investments in programs like PEPFAR and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria, we’ve made incredible strides. 15 million people are now alive on antiretroviral treatment and the elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV is within reach. These are accomplishments that seemed impossible a generation ago.
As the Global Fund comes into replenishment in 2016, please make sure the United States continues to contribute the maximum amount possible – one-third of all contributions – with your FY2017 budget request. The US’ continuous support for the Global Fund will send a strong message to the rest of the world and bring us closer to an AIDS-free generation.
